Time Change for December Board Meeting
Please note that the monthly Library Board of Trustees meeting scheduled for Monday, December 17, will begin at 6 pm instead of the usual 7 pm.  
Saturday, February 9, 2019, at 1:30 P.M.

Library Strategic Plan
The Board of Trustees, with help from the City of Highwood, commissioned a three year strategic plan for the library.  The final plan was adopted at the October board meeting and can be read here.
K9 Reading Buddies of the North Shore
Register your child to read to a trained therapy dog team at Highwood Public Library to reinforce a positive, non-judgmental reading experience. Reading can be more fun when reading to a dog!
Program dates are the 2nd Tuesday of the month in 2018 (12/11), the 3rd Tuesday of the month in 2019 (1/15, 2/19, 3/19, 4/16). 
4:15pm - 5:15pm (four, 15 minute time slots)
Children, Grades 1-5

Reserve New Meeting Room
The Meeting Room is currently available for reservations.  If you are interested in reserving the room, please review our meeting room policy,  fill out the reservation form and return it to the  circulation desk.  You will then be contacted about your reservation.

Books for Sale - Help Support Our Library
Volume I and Volume II of the Highwood Highlife cookbook - for sale at the library. Our cookbooks are perfect for hostess, teacher, new bride gifts, or just a treat for yourself.  Cook up some new recipes from local chefs and residents of surrounding communities, who have contributed over 800 recipes.  Book covers feature local artist  Babe Galassini's whimsical and colorful oils of fruit and flora.
-   One book costs $15; Two books are $25..
Through the generous underwriting by US Bank, all proceeds benefit the library's resources and programming fund.
