If there was a book that went viral in 2023, it was Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt. What better title for the book club reboot?

This book is a charming, witty, and compulsively readable exploration of friendship, reckoning, and hope that traces a widow’s unlikely connection with a giant Pacific octopus. Shelby Van Pelt’s debut novel is a gentle reminder that sometimes taking a hard look at the past can help uncover a future that once felt impossible.

• Physical copies will be available at the library beginning February 19th.
• E-books are available on Boundless and Hoopla for three-week check-outs.
• Audiobooks are also available on Boundless and Hoopla for three-week check-outs.  You can finish the book by listening for only 26 minutes a day for 3 weeks!

The Book Club will occur on Wednesday, March 13th at 6pm at the Highwood Library & Community Center. The discussion will be in English. Refreshments will be provided.
